In only their third appearance and first time hosting, the Netherlands won the 2017 UEFA Women's European Championship. The Oranje breezed through the tournament undefeated, never going behind in a game until the final, but handled Denmark with ease.
Returning members of the 2017 squad include some of the best in the women's game: 2017 Silver Boot winner Vivianne Miedema, Goalkeeper of the Tournament Sari van Veenendaal, and Player of the Tournament Lieke Martens.
